Introducing...

German band Wir sind Helden.
found out about this band through a recent series of "Foreign Exchange" singles in which bands from different nationalities cover each other's songs.
The first collaboration is American band +44 and German band Wir sind Helden.
+44 covers the English version of the hit Guten Tag,
while Wir sind Helden does a 80's sounding version of When Your Heart Stops Beating.
Wir sind Helden broke into the German music scene in 2002 and has released 3 albums since then.
the members of the band are:
Judith Holofernes- vocals, guitar
Pola Roy- drums
Mark Tavassol- bass
Jean-Michel Tourette- keyboards, guitar
In July 2003, they released their debut album Die Reklamation which features the popular hit Guten Tag.
Following the success is a second album, Von hier an blind, in April 2005.
In May 2007, a third album was released, Soundso.
Wir sind Helden means We Are Heroes in German.
the band has done well in English-speaking countries, such as the UK, despite the challenge of being a non-English band.
though i have no idea what their lyrics meant,
since i obviously don't know German except maybe the greeting Guten Tag.
but this band is really good.
their music is comparable to the top-selling alternative artistes,
and it will definitly apply to pop-rocks fans with their catchy tunes.
