2 days to Prelims
today's saturday, 25th August.
i really should be worried and studying really hard.
but decided to write this anyway.
cause there are some issues i have to acknowledge.
1) i've gotten The Click Five's new album!
modern minds and pastimes.
and it's not supposed to come out till monday!
all thanks to Lam Hong Ru,
for calling me in the nick of time yesterday,
to scream the words i've been dying to hear:
I saw The Click Five's album le! It's out!
and to Yu Liyan,
for wanting to go to the JE Popular in the first day.
and to Valarie Lim,
who offered to help me pay for the CD,
cause i spent some on the chocolate cream pie.
i managed to dig out some coins.
thank goodness.
it's a good CD.
go get it.
2) i'm really easily addicted.
for those who remember.
i was addicted to the Hana Kimi Taiwan version.
now it's the Japan version.
dang, i was happy when i saw this version.
and i thought i was the first few people who knew this.
turns out EVERYONE who knows about hana kimi,
already knew about the Jap version.
WAY BEFORE me.
anyway.
my favourite character is still 秀伊.
the japanese guy playing him, Ikuta Toma is WAY cute.
and the japanese name sounds really nice: Nakatsu.
i just love the character.
he's funny.
he's a really good friend.
he plays soccer.
and he thinks he's gay.
i think the last trait is kinda weird.
but still, that's what makes him funny.
PLUS, he just THINKS he is.
goodness.
i need to get a grip.
3) i have a new respect for Japanese.
no, not because of the show, or Ikuta Toma.
i just finished the book on Iwo Jima: Letters From Iwo Jima.
a totally different perspective of Japanese.
especially for those Japanese soldiers.
afterall, it's not their fault that they wanted to fight.
it was the doing of those people at the top.
i guess soldiers who fight are all the same.
they're just doing what they feel is right for their country.
given a choice,
who in the RIGHT mind wants to kill someone else?
fine, sometimes i really want to kill some people,
but have i killed anyone for real so far?
ANYWAY.
now i'm starting on the book on the American point of view of the war:
Flags Of Our Fathers.
both books are thought-provoking.
and i guess they're really good reads.
kudos to Clint Eastwood for making good movies out of both books.
not only do i have a newfound respect for Japanese,
i think soldiers deserve the recognition and respect of the people too.
for their sacrifice.
4) i'm going to make sure i'm successful.
I AM SUCCESSFUL!
5) to all my dearest friends who are either:
mugging for Prelims,
cramming for O levels.
or just plain slacking around. (screw you)
all the very best and best of luck!
man! we can make it!
and show all the cynical out there our batch can make it to the top.
peace.

the morning after.
last night was our official graduation from NCC.
what a four years!
so many things have happened and inretrospect,
all was good.
the 14 of us were back together again last night.
and i had a great night!
it was totally fun and enjoyable.
it made me feel that the 4 years of hard work has finally come to an end,
and that it was all worthwhile.
firstly, thank you to the charlie'07 girls (and boys).
for organinsing this party for us.
for all the gifts and performances.
and the gifts in the boxes! haha..
thank you so much!
then, there's the bravo'07 girls.
for all the sweet things you've done.
the video, the puzzle, the clay, the star.
D loves B too! (haha.)
the video was really touching,
and it was kinda entertaining to see you guys laughing so much when talking.
thank you for the performance as well.
it was really good!
to the cute alpha'07 girls.
thank you for the performance and the sweet gifts.
you guys still have got a long long way to go,
cherish all the moments and take care of each other.
finally, to the most important people,
thank you to the very very very beloved delta platoonmates and girlfriends!
not only for last night,
but also for the 4 years we've spent together.
first getting scared out of our skin whenever we are going for cca,
then starting to relax around and realize there really isn't much to be scared of,
cause the 14 of us will ALWAYS stick together, and stand up for each other.
then working hard to make sure we'll be able to hold up the prestige our seniors left.
and stressing and rushing for every activity or event.
the pressure was exciting.
it'll be weird to be not busy anymore, i guess.
but we'll always be together,
maybe not physically,
but mentally and emotionally.
the delta '07 girls FOREVER.
we've finally reach the finishing line.
now, we've got another challenge coming up,
so i hope everyone will excel in the prelims and O'Levels.
JIAYOU!
i will jiayou too.
and work very hard to fulfil the SUMMERLODGE dream.
yea, i'll do it.
i'll make sure i do.
xinhang. valarie. shiqi. jasmine. chiamiang. zixi. liyan. qihui. winifred. xinran. hongru. joanna. huangbei. yitong.
the 14 of us forever.
peace.
